Finally! A Detroit sports star on the cover of a sports video game.
Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander tweeted out to his followers what the cover of 2K Sports' MLB 2K12, featuring himself, looked like. It's pretty awesome.
So what future Detroit stars could we see on video game covers? How about Calvin Johnson on Madden? (And the cries of "Noooo the curse" come out) What about Nicklas Lidstrom for EA's NHL franchise? He more than deserves it.

Lidstrom was on a game called NHL Hitz, oddly enough. Yzerman shared a cover on NHL96, and graced the cover of NHL Rivals - I believe that one was an XBOX exclusive game.
